Souder Law Group represented Acier Development in securing approvals for the Halo Tower complex, a transformative three-tower mixed-use development in Newark that, once completed, will be among the tallest buildings in New Jersey.
Our legal counsel encompassed project financing, land use approvals, and the successful negotiation of a long-term tax abatement with the City of Newark, as well as financial incentives from the State of New Jersey.
We also led negotiations with the Newark Parking Authority to remove on-street parking spaces in front of the building to accommodate construction staging and align with the overall redevelopment scheme.
Additionally, we navigated complex regulatory matters involving the FAA and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey related to air rights. The project will feature 42-, 52-, and 53-story towers, 1,075 residential units, and 343 parking spaces.
